What it measures
A convenience-weighted score of your accessible destinations. Each country is weighted by how easy the entry process is:
- Visa Free (100%) — no paperwork, just show up.
- Visa Free with ETA (85%) — a quick online form before travel, but still a step.
- Visa on Arrival (60%) — you queue and pay at the border.
- eVisa (40%) — you apply online before you travel.
Two passports with the same mobility count can score very differently here.
Why it matters
The difference between walking through immigration and filling out applications adds up fast. If you travel frequently, friction access captures the lived experience better than raw destination count.
What it doesn't capture
- The weights reflect typical effort, not your specific case. An e-visa that takes five minutes and one that takes two weeks are weighted the same.
